At HDWERKS we’re passionate about creating stories that inspire, and our partnership with the Stark Education Partnership (SEP) is doing just that for Stark County, Ohio. Together, we’re connecting high school students to local career opportunities through innovative video content, helping them envision their futures in industries right here at home.
The Stark Career Pathways Explorer Series
Our flagship project with SEP is the Stark Career Pathways Explorer Series, a collection of engaging videos tailored for area high school students and shown in Stark County classrooms. Each episode is hosted by a local high school student who interviews three professionals at a Stark County business, exploring their unique career pathways. Featuring companies like Aultman Health, Beaver Excavating, and the Akron-Canton Airport, the series highlights roles such as president & CEO, communications manager, operations specialist, and patient care. These student-led interviews bring authenticity and relatability, inspiring peers to explore high-demand fields like advanced manufacturing and health sciences.
Career-Connected Learning in Action
SEP’s career-connected learning initiatives, amplified by our video production, make career exploration tangible. Events like the Marathon Field Day, where nearly 300 students discovered careers in oil refining, show how education connects to real-world opportunities. Our videos, played in classrooms, bring these experiences to life. We ensure our content aligns with students’ interests, guiding them toward meaningful career paths.
Building a Stronger Community Through Video Production
We’re proud to collaborate with SEP, local chambers, and economic development to create a talent pipeline for Stark County. Our videos foster connections between students, educators, and businesses, strengthening the community.
